About Sheryl
Sheryl Sorokin lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, where she studies as a silversmith and is the sole proprietor of Pomegranate Jewelry Designs. She is a trained Art Therapist and Social Work Clinician and has found her own version of therapy through her jewelry design. Sheryl is married to a fabulous man and has two sons who amaze and challenge her constantly.
Sheryl finds inspiration from the colors and forms found in nature and art, which gives her designs an artistic yet natural appeal. She also derives design ideas from classical ideology and biblical themes and finds that the spiritual and healing qualities of natural materials plays a role in her design.
Gemstones, pearls, precious metals, and handmade glass all originate within nature and are believed to hold spiritual essences. For Sheryl creating beautiful adornments out of rough materials is both highly fulfilling and humbling. The pomegranate has become her company’s logo as it symbolizes feminine characteristics and ancient wisdom.
